District Taco (Website), a fast-casual Mexican restaurant, will expand to New Jersey.
As part of a multi-unit development deal – the DC-based chain – it will bring ten locations to the Garden State with plans for eighty total in four years.
The brand currently has fourteen locations open throughout DC, Maryland, Virginia and Pennsylvania.
“Differentiated” in the market by its “Yucatán flavor profile”, they serve a menu (View Menu) of breakfast and lunch tacos, burritos, bowls, salads, quesadillas, and more – items are fully customizable, with vegetarian, vegan, and gluten-free options.
Grilled meats are marinated with spices that are indigenous to the Yucatán region, while Chiles and tomatoes are roasted on premises, as are the chips and salsa which are made daily.
Currently no specific Jersey locations have been announced.
