Whitney have a short run of East Coast dates in October, which are with Rahill and include Jersey City, Woodstock, NYC, the Boston area and Mystic, CT’s Mystic Folkways Festival. Before that they’ll play the 2023 edition of Taste of Chicago. All dates are listed below.
The Jersey City show is at White Eagle Hall on 10/5, Woodstock is at Levon Helm Studios on 10/6, and NYC is at Rockaway Hotel on 10/7. Tickets are on sale now.
In August, Whitney released a new single, Kansas,” which was a song that has been kicking around for a while. “We started ‘Kansas’ back in 2017 at the beginning of the Forever Turned Around writing sessions,” the band said. “The initial idea saw a couple different mutations but eventually we fully rewrote it into the title track for LP2. At some point during tour rehearsals in 2022 we decided to put the original unfinished ‘Kansas’ in the set to see how people would respond and it quickly became a centerpiece. So in March of this year we finished writing and recording ‘Kansas’ as it was originally imagined and we’re thrilled to finally release it.” Listen below.
