Slovakia intends to transfer MiG-29 aircraft to Ukraine

Slovak Prime Minister Eduard Heger said that Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky had asked Slovakia to provide MiG-29 fighter jets to Ukraine.

This is reported by the Slovak newspaper SME.

Heger added that negotiations would begin immediately. He noted that the planes were disabled and Slovakia does not plan to use them in the future, but they can help Ukraine save the lives of civilians

Recall that French President Emmanuel Macron said that the country does not rule out the supply of fighter jets to Ukraine, but noted that now combat aircraft are not a priority.

Also in the UK, a positive decision was made regarding the training of Ukrainian defenders on Western-style fighters. The White House described the position on the transfer of fighter jets to Ukraine.
