Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic is worried about a “major escalation” of the war in Ukraine in the next five to six months. “We are facing the biggest crisis we have seen since World War II. What (we have faced so far) is almost nothing compared to what is coming. We face a major escalation. I hope that some will understand that no one needs escalation and that they will try to de-escalate the situation,” he said.
“It is clear that we are in absolute chaos,” he said, adding that Serbia would hold a stop-gap position. “It’s difficult for Serbia, whoever wins. That’s why I said we are among the few who talk about peace, but no one is allowed to mention peace anymore,” he noted.
